Step 1

Bring 200g of water to boil. The grind texture should be slightly finer than sea salt. Add Between 15 - 18g of coffee to the aeropress, depending how strong you like it.

Step 2

Put the one filter paper into the Aeropress

Step 3

Insert the filter into the AeroPress. And use some hot water to wet the filter. This helps with the heating of the vessel.

Start your timer. For the bloom, pour in twice the amount of water as coffee, and leave it to bloom for about 30 seconds.

Step 4

Assemble the AeroPress.

Step 5

You can put your AeroPress on top of a scale to make sure you are using the correct amount of coffee. The numbers of the AeroPress should be upside down.

Add the ground coffee to the aeropress, be careful not to spill the coffee.

Step 6

Start your timer. For the bloom, pour in twice the amount of water as coffee, and leave it to bloom for about 30 seconds.

Step 7

Use the rest of the hot water to fill up your Aeropress.

Step 8

After roughly a minute, stir the grounds. This will agitate the coffee.

Step 9

Put the cap on the aeropress, making sure it's on tightly, and flip the aeropress onto your cup. Push down hard, this should take about 30 seconds.

Unscrew the cap, and dispose of the ground coffee

Step 10

Enjoy your coffee!
