his project is a collaboration between Belco and the NASA WE'SX community, aimed at promoting coffee culture, ensuring sustainable incomes for families, and strengthening the indigenous community. By adhering to organic principles and embracing their cultural beliefs, these farmers produce coffee that not only delights the taste buds but also fosters environmental stewardship. 


To support this initiative, Belco has provided two mechanical silo dryers to the Asocanafi and Ascisp associations. These dryers enhance the drying process, ensuring consistent quality and improving the livelihoods of local families. Furthermore, the implementation of natural coffee processing reduces water consumption and environmental impact. 


With the installation of the silos and the training of operators, we have achieved our objectives. The resulting system not only reduces water consumption but also enhances the appearance, yield, and flavour profile of the beans. Ignacio employs 48 women year-round. These women, many of whom are single mothers supporting their families, ensure high-quality by sorting cherry and parchment to remove any defective beans.
